General Information

Entries are now open for the ITS NOT OK Swim-a-thon. It’s a fun, fitness event that the whole family can be involved in and support the SHE Rescue Home. The Swim-a-thon will be held at the amazing Brisbane Grammar Indoor Pool facility located over the ‘Old Boys Bridge’ – Brisbane Grammar.

  • Enter via the Staff Car Park – 14 College Rd Spring Hill
  • There is no entry when travelling west on College Rd

The day will commence at 12noon with continue throughout the day finishing at 8:00pm. Invited athletes & celebrities will swim throughout the entire day. Deputy Mayor Adrian Schrinner will open the event.

The final hour of the day (7pm to 8pm) will focus on invited athletes and celebrities involved in a relay. Individual & teams who raise the most money will earn their place to swim in this relay.

  • Money must be received by Monday the 20th of February 2012 to qualify for this.
  • Days, times & venues; online payments will be allocated for this.

The 10 lane FINA recognized pool will be divided into swimming sections to allow for all swimming abilities and ages. Pool aids are encouraged – fun & involvement are our main aims. Children under the age of 6 must be accompanied (in the pool) by a parent or guardian. You can use any aids you choose and tow your child.

Non-swimming participants are welcome – a gold coin ‘pool entry’ donation would be appreciated. We welcome your support and encourage you to stay throughout the day to support other participants. Please consider being down on the pool deck for the final hour with our invited athletes and celebrities.

Our Master of Ceremonies will be on the pool deck throughout the entire event. Watch out for the interviews with celebrities, general public and She Rescue Home attendees. They’ll also be prizes and giveaways.
